Checked in (this time without checked baggage), had no problems whilst on the plane although the landing was a bit bumpy (due to the worst storms to hit the UK this year). Another major plus is because the planes are quite new, I do not get that horrible pain in my ears when landing as I tend to experience in other, older planes which perhaps do not keep the cabin pressurised as well as they should. So far, 3 flights with wizzair, all positive experiences.

Thought i’d try to balance out the wizzair-suckiness a bit.

I’m a london based student who travels to eastern europe on a regular basis. Flights to warsaw have become quite expensive in recent months which makes it difficult for me to make my trips. I came across wizzair via lastminute.com in their “low cost airline” section. Naturally, being a low cost airline, I have absolutely no expectations of the airline other than to dump me unceremoniously from London Luton to Warsaw Chopin airport.

My first flight with them was in August 2009, a one-way ticket from LTN to WAW. At the time it was around £80 cheaper than the nearest rival (including other low cost airlines), and that was after all taxes/baggage charges etc. I arrived at Luton, waited about 10 minutes to be checked in and was directed to the departure lounge. After a quick pint at the bar, I was told my flight was boarding…..and after a dash to the gate, it indeed was boarding. I got onto the plane and was quite impressed by how new it was. Nothing interesting happened during the flight and we arrived at WAW 10 minutes before scheduled arrival. All in all a great flight for the price.

My second Wizzair flight was 6th Oct, also from LTN to WAW….once again, same story…flight was 5 mins early to destination and there were no problems during the flight. The ticket was around £50 cheaper than the closest alternative. I have another flight with them on 14th Oct (WAW->LTN) and I will update you if anything untoward happened there. I hope you get your problem sorted, but not everyone’s experience has been as negative as yours :)
